2022 2nd Quarter report

Praise God! The Covid pandemic is winding down in Thailand. As Covid restrictions are being lifted one by one, kids from our orphanage began to go out and invite village children to joy their Sunday activities. Due to the long rainy season in northern Thailand, we decided to build a covering in the field for children’s outdoor activities. May the Lord bless our children’s heart for evangelism.
A rare time for all 4 of our Akha daughters to be together. As our daughters graduate and began their separate paths, a time like this when they are all together at home brings much joy to our hearts. Each time we see them together, we are reminded of the everlasting love of our God. He brought us together under the most impossible circumstances, He provided a home to those who are without homes, and in His love a family of loving disciples is formed.
This summer Wendy, Paulina, and myself are finally able to return to Los Angeles to visit our family and friends. The Covid pandemic took away our travel ability for the past 3 years. It was a blessed time to reunite with our elderly parents, our elder American daughter Priscilla, and many loving brothers and sisters who have been faithfully supporting us since the very beginning of our mission.
Our partner church in northern Thailand is near completion of their new student dormitory/worship center. Temporary worship halls are already being utilized by our college students for Sunday worship. Funding are still needed for detail items such as electricals. Sound and video, plus miscellaneous finishing work. But students are already steadily moving in as the semester progresses.
Our second year Bible college student Somui serving as an intern in a local church in Chiang Rai province. Bible college students in Thailand must began serving local churches as intern when they begin their second year of study, often without any compensations. They truly live by faith. And by the faithful financial support from our loving donors, we are able to provide Somui with a motorcycle as transportation (motorcycles are the primary tool of transportation in Thailand)
