2024 Mid-Year Report
The first Half of 2024 was filled with joyful harvest from our Lord. We had 6 students graduating from Elementary school. 6 students graduating from middle school, and 2 students graduating from universities. We gained one intern-coworker and one full-time coworker for FOLD. Most importantly, we have finally launched our comprehensive discipleship program for all 13 university students and 4 coworkers for FOLD.
Part of our student training involves serving in various hilltribe young people groups. We had the chance to hold 3 separate Christian youth camps during tis season. A big blessing from putting up youth camps is the opportunities for us to cowork and connect with more young Christian leaders in northern Thailand. Our themes for the 3 camps were “Identity in Christ” and “Drawing Close to Jesus”
This year’s graduating students are very special to FOLD, especially our 6 elementary school graduates. When FOLD started supporting these children more than 7 years ago, they were still preschool age. Seeing them grow in the love of Christ brings tears of joy to our eyes. The orphanage also have installed new water filtration system, newly paved access road, and new mosquito nets for every student and worker to protect against mosquito transmitted dengue fever. God is amazing! And the love from brothers and sisters resulted in this harvest for the kingdom of God.
With more focus on building students up in the Word of God, our Sunday student group has evolved into two main focus this year: Christian apologetics and practical faith. With emphasis on answering questions young believers often have and struggle with. So that the faith of our young people can be seen in their daily lives.
Fold now has two full time coworkers and one intern coworker: Summer handles FOLD’s administrative duties and Catchin handles student and children’s ministry duties. Our brand new intern coworker Alo assists in student ministry and activities. All of them are going through discipleship and leadership training. In July they will began their New Testament overview course to strengthen their biblical knowledge.

With the growing number of our supported college students and the increasing demand for outside ministries, we are experiencing a need for a second vehicle for ministry use. Our current vehicle, a 2010 Toyota Hilux 4x4 conversion can fit up to 12 students. With 15 students, 4 coworkers, and pastors, our serving team often exceed 20 people. Please pray for God’s provision for a second 4 wheel drive vehicle for our ministry. The estimated cost for a reasonable second hand Toyota 4 wheel drive vehicle is around 30,000 USD
