2019 Year End Report
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:35 NIV
The definitive mark of true disciples of Jesus is the demonstration of our love for one another. FOLD was blessed in 2019 contribute to the making of genuine disciples among the hilltribe youths of northern Thailand.
One of our most thankful ministries in 2019 was helping our young people love one another as Jesus commands. FOLD trains young hilltribe leaders to serve other hill tribe youths, especially orphans in need. These leaders served orphans by teaching them the Word of God, worship dances and songs, leading games and activities, and even raising funds to purchase Christmas gifts for the orphans. Images of God’s kingdom are displayed through these disciples of Jesus each time they serve.
God ‘s providence always surpasses our expectations. By His grace FOLD was able to support students to attend job training courses, attend seminary in Singapore, continue university education, technical school education, middle school and elementary education. In addition to providing room and board for 54 kids at Home of the Blessed orphanage, we are very thankful to be able to help complete the construction of their student dormitories in 2019.
2019 was also a year of collaborations with more hill tribe organizations for FOLD. We had the opportunity to support Akha Christian Youth (ACY) organization on their large-scale youth camp with leadership and funding needs. Over 500 hill tribe youths and 80 young leaders attended 2019’s ACY camp, included in the leadership team were students supported by FOLD. We are also blessed to begin collaborating with Jireh Church of Chiang Rai, Thailand. Jireh Church is a church focused on training up Jesus’s disciples among the college student population in northern Thailand. A large percentage of their members are hill tribe students from local colleges.
FOLD's mission work continues to be a long-term commitment that requires persistent prayer and support from brothers and sister all over the world. In 2020, please continue to pray for:

Sufficient funding to continue our mission work to help the hill tribe young people. Our funding goal this year is to be able:

To support 5 more college level students (including 2 Bible college candidates ), bringing our college level students’ number to 13.

To support the 54 orphans at Home of the Blessed orphanage (including boarding and educational costs)

To send students on conferences, trainings, and foreign exchange programs (for those in foreign language majors) to further their trainings.
